Beyond Altered Books

This is my first attempt in our altered book group, this book belongs to Anne and she has cut her pages into the shape of a house and added more pages for us to use. My theme for her page was a walk in the park. I have attempted to incorporate some of the techniques Ro has shown me in various classes.

Arty-Oz Tag Swap

These are my first two tags, the top one is Vanessa's, her theme was to use fabric, which I have done on the pocket and the tag. The second one was for Bevlea and her theme was to use the colours of cream and sepia with a famous quote, my quote was by Mae West and if you can't read it is says To err is human, but it feels divine.

Crafty Mum Christmas Doors

The top photo is my set of doors, the middle set were the ones we completed yesterday and the last picture is all the doors the everyone has done so far. This project was in a Stamping and Papercraft magazine last year and was introduced to our group by Suzanne and was done over 3 all day sessions and I think everyone enjoyed doing the work together and gained inspiration from each other.

2010 Collabrative Book

This years Arty-OZ Collabrative Book had 12 particapants and the pages were all fantastic, I am only showing you mine and one other, but they were all wonderful. The wonderful Teresa was the co-ordinator again and Greta and myself put the pages together with a little help by another person out of the group Joan.

Class with Chris Aitkins

We did an amazing class with Chris Atkins on Sunday the 11th at Sue Gore's home where we all had a wonderful time learning how to make little jewellery cages see mine above and where we were fed by Sue an amazing lunch of lasagna and gnocchi and lots of other fantastic things.

My cage has a little house inside made by Chris, which is cast out of bronze . The words I punched inside which you cannot see read heart and home. The little antique key hanging at the bottom were courtesy of the wonderful Miss Jen.

Our niece Catherine's 21st was on Tuesday and I posted this with her pressie on Monday, I hope she received them okay and liked them.
Today was my check up with my Neuro Surgeon after my back op and I have been given the all clear, so now I have to get out and walk and try to get some of the weight off, that I managed to gain in the last 6 months. I don't have to see him again till Mid June, so I am setting this my goal to get off at least 5 kilos by then, I will let you all know what happens.

Today is Australia Day, we had a lovely day with friends over for a BBQ and some excellent wine, a good time was had by all. After they left I thought I better whip this card up for a work colleges father(her request) as I had forgotten about it all weekend. Back Again

Well since my last post back in November, quite a lot has happened Christmas, New Year and a Back Operation (Lumbar Decompression and Fusion) which was on the 8th of December which meant I haven't done too much of anything since then, however it is all coming good now and moving about is a lot easier.

Jo Hughes got me working again in the art direction with the tiles above, we had to make 16 tiles for Ness's Birthday, we spent a good part of a day getting these little babies made. It was Ness's birthday today so I hoped she enjoyed all her little treasure's that she would have received.
