Q for Queen Quirky

I have procrastinated about this one for a while, of course the letter was Q, but we had to use background gifs from a certain website http://www.clubs.psu.edu/up/aegsa/freegifs.html
I'm still not 100% sure whether this works or not but here it is.

Vintage vixen

This this weeks skinny book theme was the letter V done on an aged background, I used a Timmy method of distress ink direct to the paper and then embossed and then more distress ink, I also aged the paper with walnut ink and more distress ink.

I have finally done this weeks skinny challenge, we had to do the letter D and the background had to be done with shaving foam and alcohol inks, which I had not done before but it came out all right in the end after a few tries.

This lovely little angel was my present, she is now adorning my Christmas tree.

Heres pictures of the wonderful house collection swap book I received from the very talented lady Donna, sorry the pictures are out of order but you can still see how great they are.

These are what I made in Jen's class yesterday, I absolutely love them, I have never made any of this type of jewelery before, Jen made it very easy with fabulous kits to work with and a little bit of my own junk as well. We even got to use a dremmel and watch her using a soldering iron.

We all had a wonderful time with lots of laughs and lollies and learning how to create some beautiful pieces of jewelery, I will take picture of these tommorow, up close so they can be seen.

This weeks letter was F for Foolish Fellows the challenge was to do it in black and white with a smidge of colour. I used the stamp resist technique with a Tim Holtz stamp, I think the effect works well. I painted black first, stamped in versacolour, white paint and then iron.

I've Started in the World of Blogging

I have finally done it, I started a blog, after reading so many this will be a real adventure for me, to figure it all out.

I spent a couple of hours with Greta this afternoon trying to help her clean her craft room, however, its a very personal thing, and only the owner knows where they want everything to go, I know that this is what I'm like. I have read Greta's blog for quite some time now and decided that now its my turn to have a go.
