Ro's Necklace Class

Today I attended another wonderful class at Ro Bruhn's house in the Dandenong Hills, where we had a terrific time learning how to make metal loops and twists, Ro style and how to put together the above creation. I think I can say that everyone who attended had a great time and we all left with completed necklaces. Oh and Ro's partner Steve fed us all with his most amazing dishes of delights.

Swallow Book

This is my completed book from Jen Crossley's class last Saturday, finally finished, most of the book was done in class, but I had to bind it and add a few embellishments to complete. Jens classes are wonderful, she is such a talented lady and her kit for this class is terrific, most of what you see above is in the kit.

Birthday Cards

My friend at work asked me to do a couple of birthday cards for her family, the top one is for her sister and the next one is for her 81 year old Mum, the picture is from her passport photo, when she was 21.
Sorry to be so remiss in updating my blog as of late, but with one thing and another, time just keeps marching on, before you realise you haven't done the simple things in life for 3 months. I will endeavour to be more forthcoming from now on.

My Birthday Outing

My wonderful husband took me to the Windsor Hotel for my birthday where we had dinner and breakfast the next day. When we arrived we were upgraded from the Junior suite to the Windsor suite, which is where the top photo was taken. It is directly opposite the steps of Parliament Building, where we saw all the brides and grooms having their photos taken. The Windsor suite and that wing of the hotel is soon to be demolished in their up coming renovations which will be a shame as it is an amazing set of rooms.

Birthday Outing

This was Jo's and mine birthday lunch on Tuesday this week at a little cafe in Chelsea called Center Stage, it was very cute and quirky and the food was good. Fun was had by all.

Arty Oz Art Boxes

I was in a swap with Arty-oz where we made 2 boxes for someone and received 2 back from someone else, well my boxes went to Lucy and and I got some beautiful ones back from Liz. My boxes are the top ones(photo supplied by Lucy).

Belinda Card

This card was done for Belinda's birthday, I am giving it to her tonight however her birthday was in August, but lucky her she has been Bail for 2 weeks on Holidays.

Jo's Birthday Book(card)

This was Jo's card for her birthday which I have only just this week given to her.
Sorry these posts are all out of order, you should read I'm back first and then look at everything else.

The second photo is me, Michelle and Jenny whom helped me put it all together

"I AM BACK"

Well I know it's been a long time between posts here, but there has been a lot going on that just kept me away from blogging. First off I did something to my back and then as a result pinched the nerve going right down my left leg, which I am still having treatment for. Second I got a massive tooth infection which resulted in many visits to the doctor to get jabs in the bum and I am now just starting the root canal treatment at the dentist.

My good friend Jo turned 50 in August and we had many outing and craft projects to create for her, that at the time were very hush hush but now I can show what I have been doing. The first project which took a couple of months involved many ladies from all over Australia who contributed. This was a canvas made with JVO's Collection tiles and then put onto a stretched canvas which I painted black. The artists involved were myself, Michelle Cevic, Jenny Kelly, Helen Jones, Jayne Richardson, Susanne, Greta Young, Teresa Abajo, Jenny Crossley, Sue Gore, Nicky Keegan, Patsy Worledge, Ro Bruhn, Donna Taylor, Debra Murray, Ness Henry, Marilyn Lunt, Marth Jane and Raelene, their work was stunning and a secret very well kept

Flacko's 21st Birthday

Friends of our's, son Stephen turns 21 on the 18th and I have just finished his card. The background paper I thought was appropriate as he is in Greece at the moment on an extended holiday, I hope this card gets to him in time as he is off to Eygpt within a week and half.

Anyway Steve if you get this or even if you don't we hope you have a bloody terrific day, here is Steve's blog for a look at some of his adventures.

Sweet Sixteen

I have finally done something crafty, sorry I haven't updated for ages but there has been a craft drought in my home. But Jo's daughter turns 16 tomorrow and it finally made me go into my craft room, tidy up a bit so I could get near my desk and actually do something. I will try to update a bit more regularly in the future. Anyway that's it for now.

Michelle's Card

This is the card I was talking about in the previous post, I have just been too lazy to upload it, but as I sit here and type this, the person whom I gave this card is struggling in hospital as a result of her battle with cancer and all the problems that are attached to that despicable disease.
All my love and best wishes are with her today and always. God Bless you Michelle.

Anzac Weekend with JVo's Classes

As you can see Jo and I and many other Ladies had a wonderful weekend filled with Julie's classes at Scraptacular in Mentone, what a talented lady she is, Jo and I attended 3 of the 5 classes held over the weekend which started Friday afternoon and went through until Saturday night.

They were fullon classes that kept you working the whole time trying to complete your project, the only 1 I did not complete until this afternoon, was the art boxes as we were on a much smaller time frame, because of classes to follow on. All of Julie's new products are wonderful and they are so easy to use.

In Memory of Dad

Today my Dad would have turned 83, these pictures are from some wonderful times, at the top him on Holidays, then Mum and Dad at a Wedding and the last one is of me and him on the 14th May 1983, my goodness how time flies, he passed away on the 6th of September, 2000 and I still miss him terribly.

Aubergine Houses

I have completed 2 Houses, as I wasn't happy with the first one,the small one, I was using Collection houses, however I decorated the card and then realised you are supposed to put them together with decorative paper, so I had to do it inside out, which means all the seams are vi sable. The second one I painted and decorated the paper and then made a house as I didn't have any big ones left from the set and I am much happier with that one.

Play Day at Greta's

Today Greta and I had a crafty day at her place, we created 2 tiles each, mine are the 2 on the left of the screen. We also attempted to make some 3D houses, which I can only say are a work in progress, started but definitely not finished. I will post that when finally finished. But it was a wonderful day, with sunshine coming in the big open door and lots of chatter and laughing.

Fairy Card

A friend from work asked me to make a birthday card for her soon to be 6 year old granddaughter, her only requests were that I put her name on the card and the year and that Ebony loves Fairies. I have used Kaiser Kraft new paper as the background and also cut out a fairy from a matching paper.
